Azem - That’s me!
I live and work in London. I started my career as a graphic designer. I think that is probably how I learned to play with colour. Though the roots of my love for colour most certainly comes from the depths of the Amazon, where I was born. (The forest - not the shop :o) )
I have been drawing and paiting throughout my whole life, though I fell in love with ceramics back in 2013 when I learned the skills of wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques by Master Potter Stuart Carey and artist Sharon Virtue.
Since then clay has taken over my life. Painting and claying is what I do pretty much every day.
You’ll find me sometimes at open studio events, though I sell most of my work online. Some exciting projects I’ve done in the past are exhibiting my work at the Barbican OpenFest and creating an exclusive range of ceramic art for department store Liberty in London.
