About…

Me and My Work

I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, and I spent many years working as a graphic designer and creative director. My journey into ceramics began in 2013 when I had the privilege of learning the craft from Master Potter Stuart Carey and artist Sharon Virtue. The medium instantly resonated with me, and it has since become a central part of my artistic practice. I’ve never left that studio in London, and I still create my work there today.

I draw inspiration from many sources: people, ancient sculpture, and classical painting, as well as my early experiences growing up on the edge of the Amazon rainforest. The rich, vibrant color palette of the rainforest, combined with the layering of color seen in Renaissance paintings, profoundly influences my work. My heritage, deeply connected to nature, animals, and the spiritual essence of the forest, alongside the colonial history of my land, all play a role in shaping what I create.

I primarily work with stoneware, occasionally incorporating porcelain, and my pieces range from figurative to abstract, or sometimes a blend of both—whatever feels right in the moment.

I’ve had the honor of exhibiting at the Barbican OpenFest and creating an exclusive ceramic collection for Liberty in London. You can also find me at various art and ceramics fairs around the city.
