This large pot is made out of a mix of grogged stoneware and red terracotta clays, giving it a warm toasty colour an and a beautifil tactile texture.
The painting is done with glossy glazes creating a really nice contrast between the glossy figure and the stony texture of the raw clay body.
The figure on the pot is based on a beautiful photograph by photgrapher Florian Hetz, who most generously let me work with it. Gonzalo is the name of the model.
