This piece is wheel-thrown. I have used my own blend of clays to create a stoneware clay body with a warm dark colour and a toothy texture. It’s been decorated with a combination of glazes and slips which I have carved into.
All the pieces in this series are different in size. This piece is approximately 19 cm.
This piece is a decorative piece of art, not intended for functional use. It is made by hand. Minor ‘imperfections’ such as colouration, texture and distortion are part of the making process and the character of this type of ceramic art. However, I take great pride in my work and will not offer anything for sale unless I love it as much as I hope that you will.
